Noah Ashley6 Whitney (Joshua5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Joshua5 and Anna (Ashley) Whitney, was born 26 Dec 1770, Salisbury, CT,[1] and died Nov 1834, Toledo, OH.
He married firstly, 26 Oct 1796, Lanesborough, MA, Olive Dorwin. She was born 13 Oct 1777, Lanesborough, MA, and died 22 Feb 1817.
He married secondly, 10 Jul 1817, "Mrs." Elizabeth (-----) Rose. She died Sep 1834.
He was born in Salisbury, Litchfield county, CT, but early moved to Lanesborough, MA, where he was married. For many years he was in the iron business, but during the latter part of his life was a farmer. He resided Pittsfield, MA, Oswego Falls, NY, and Toledo, OH.

Augustus Whitney, b. 17 Sep 1811; d. 17 Sep 1837, Oswego Falls, NY; unmarried. ix. Harriet Whitney, b. 9 Mar 1814; m. 19 Jan 1834, Samuel L. Collins (or Sanford R. Collins, per census); resided Toledo, OH, cor. Detroit and Cherry Sts. He was b. 4 Apr. 1805; d. 2 Feb 1889; was in the mercantile business and real estate. Children: a. Harriett Collins, b. 28 Apr 1835; m. 1856, Edward N. Perry, of Woodstock, CT. b. Daniel Augustus Collins, b. 31 Aug 1837; m. 1866, Eva B. Terry, of Waterville, NY. c. Annie Collins, b. 26 Apr 1850; d. the same year. d. Ashley Collins, b. 10 Jul 1842; d. in infancy.
