Noah Francis9 Whitney (Noah8, David7, Silas6, David5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Noah8 and Mercy (French) Whitney, was born 19 Aug 1817, Clarendon, VT, and died 18 or 24 Dec 1892, Phillipston, MA, aged 75 years 3 months 24 days, of paralysis.[1]

He married, 3 Jun 1843, Catherine Bird, daughter of Joseph Ward and Nancy (Clapp) Bird. She was born about 30 Nov 1820, Dorchester, MA, and died 27 May 1887, Boston, MA, aged 66 years 5 months 27 days, of intestinal colic.[2]

iii. Francis Henry Whitney, b. 5 Oct 1847, Dorchester, MA;[8] d. after 1880; m. 16 Nov 1881, VT, Esther Janett Osbern, b. Athol, MA. Children:
