Norval⁸ Whitney (Arvy⁷, Elisha⁶, Ephraim⁵, Zachariah⁴, Ebenezer³, Richard², John¹), son of Arvy⁷ and Clarissa (Campbell) Whitney, was born 2 May 1848, Camden, OH, and died after 1880, but before 1900.

He married, after 1870, Emeline Lucinda Bayless, daughter of Burtis and Nancy W. (Douglas) Bayless. She was born 19 Apr 1844, Camden, OH, and died 22 Apr 1903.
