Peter Berry6 Whitney (Elias5, Jeremiah4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), son of Elias5 and Judith (Wood) Whitney, was born 2 Apr 1804, Beekman, NY, and died after Jun 1875.

He married, 25 Dec 1825, Onondaga Hill, NY, Lenchy Helen Magdalen Wells, daughter of Caliph Haroun al Raschid and Polly (Van Buren) Wells. She was born 8 Mar 1811, Kinderhook, NY, and died 8 Jan 1854, Onondaga Hill, NY.

Phoenix says the following:

"Peter Berry Whitney, b. at Beekman, N.Y., 2 Ap. 1804; a tailor; married, 25 Dec. 1825, at Onondaga Hill, N.Y., by Elder Gilbert, Baptist, to Lenchy Helen Magdalen Wells, dau. of Caliph Haroun al Raschid and Polly (Van Buren) Wells, of Onondaga Hill. She was born at Kinderhook, N.Y., 8 March 1811, and was just over fourteen years old at marriage. They settled at Onondaga Hill, where she died, 8 Jan. 1854. and was buried. He removed to Syracuse, N.Y., in the summer of 1855; and to Michigan in 1872, dwelling at St. John's and Big Rapids till 20 May 1875; and then returned to Syracuse, where he was living, at 23 West Railroad Street, in June 1875."
