Peter Samuel⁹ Whitney (Thomas G.⁸, Ephraim⁷, Moses⁶, Ephraim⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Thomas G.⁸ and Thankful (Blethen) Whitney, was born 14 Apr 1834, Raymond, ME,^[1] and died 5 Jan 1909, Gray, ME.^[2]

He "of Casco" married firstly, 25 Nov 1859, Casco, ME, Lucy A. Page "of Windham".^[3] She was born about 1838, ME, and died after 1880.

He married secondly, about 1888, Mary H. Foster, daughter of Shephel and Rosanna (Dolloff) Foster. She was born 3 Nov 1855, ME, and died after 1910.

v.	Almon Joseph Whitney, b. 16 Jul 1873, Naples, ME; d. 19 Dec 1956, Westbrook, ME; m. 20 Oct 1898, Portland, ME, Hannah Anna Conley. (Note: His WWI Draft Registration says his name is Almon Jordan Whitney.)
vi.	Frank Boody Whitney, b. 26 Jun 1874, ME; d. 18 Dec 1950, ME; m.(1) ca. 1898, Etta Shuah Gerry; divorced about 1921; m.(2) 9 Dec 1922, Portland, ME, Grace Irene Allen.
