He married 3 Dec 1919, Columbus, GA, Myrtle Rockwood Grant. She was born 28 Apr 1887, North Bellingham, MA, and died 20 Feb 1965, Encinitas, California.
Ralph was a veteran of World War I. He was a Musician First Class with the 29th Infantry Band and Orchestra, which was based in Panama during the war. After his military service he became a linotype operator, and worked for several printing businesses in Massachusetts and California. He and his family resided in Franklin and Wollaston, MA, and in Bell, CA. Ralph and Myrtle had two sons, one of whom still survives [in 2009].
