Reaves7 Whitney or Loammi7 Whitney (John6, John5, Samuel4, Joshua3, David2, Samuel1), also listed as 'Loammi Whitney' and 'Loammi Jr. Whitney' (although there may be some confusion here),[1] was born 3 Dec 1825, KY,[2] and died 10 Oct 1912, KY.[3]
He married Catherine Renick.[4] She was born 3 Jun 1834, KY,[5] and died 30 Apr 1920, KY.[6]

Note: One source[25] assigns him a daughter Mary Whitney, b. 9 Apr 1838, Allen Co., KY, d. 27 Dec 1854, m. William H. Claypool, b. 29 Dec 1841, Warren Co., KY, but she was born too early to belong to this family.
