Reuben H.9 Whitney (Ezekiel D.8, Reuben7, Thomas6, David5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ezekiel D.8 and Ann Marie (Woodard) Whitney, was born 24 Oct 1857, Hampden, ME, and died 29 May 1930, Newburgh, ME.

He married, 10 Jul 1887, Melrose, MA, Mary A. Brown, daughter of James and Margaret (-----) Brown.[1] She was born about 1857, Pictou, NS.

He was a shoemaker.

Children of Reuben H.9 and Mary A. (Brown) Whitney:

i. Russell Henry10 Whitney, b. 11 May 1888, Melrose, MA;[2] d. 1950; m. 18 Nov 1917, Hampden, ME, Lillian N. Gould, both of Hampden, ME, b. 1895, d. 1960. Russell and Lillian are both buried Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden, ME. Only known child:
a. Fremont E.11 Whitney, b. 1918; d. 1921; buried Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden, ME.
ii. Annie May Whitney, b. 20 Aug 1889, Hampden, ME [recorded at Melrose, MA].[3]
