Salmon7 Whitney (Salmon6, Jonas5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Salmon6 and Hepsabeth (Raymond) Whitney, was born 31 Jan 1788, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 17 May 1882, Boston, MA, aged 94 years 3 months 17 days, of old age.[2]

He married firstly, 8 Aug 1811, Boston, MA, Eliza Sumner, daughter of Davis and Lydia (Sewall) Sumner. She was born 13 Dec 1788, Bath, ME, and died 23 Oct 1824, Boston, MA, aged 36 years.

He married secondly, 29 Dec 1829, Alsa P. Pond, daughter of Nathan and Deborah N. (Houghton) Pond. She was born 19 Feb 1803, Keene, NH, and died 7 June 1871, Boston, MA, aged 70 years 3 months, of partial paralysis 26 yrs. paralysis of lungs.[3]

He was born in Harvard, MA, worked on the farm, and attended school winters as opportunity presented. He moved to Boston when but twenty-one years of age, and for half a century kept a salt fish store on Long Wharf. He resided Boston, MA.
