Sanford Bennett7 Whitney (George Washington6, Ebenezer5, David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of George Washington6 and Matilda (Olmstead) Whitney, was born 18 Sep 1827, Venice, NY, and died after 1880.
He married, 29 Dec 1858, Venice, NY, Martha Whiting, daughter of William and Nancy (Hurlbut) Whiting, of Venice, formerly of Moravia, NY. She was born 27 Jun 1837, Moravia, NY, and died after 1900.
Phoenix says the following:
- "... a farmer .... They settled at Venice, and were living there in Aug. 1874."
