Sible5 Whitney (Timothy4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), daughter of Timothy4 and Submit (Parker) Whitney, was born 31 Mar 1739, Groton, MA.[1]

She married firstly, 27 May 1756, Groton, MA, Peter Gilson,[2] son of Eleazer and Hannah (Farwell) Gilson. He was born 3 Feb 1732, Groton, MA.

She married secondly, 3 May 1764, Groton, MA, Oliver Lakin, son of William and Miriam (-----) Lakin. He was born 24 Feb 1733/4, Groton, MA.

On 2 Oct 1744, Townsend, MA, Submit Woods, widow of Timothy Whitney, requests guardian for his only child, daughter Sybell, in the 6th year of her age, to be Amos Whitney, his brother, of Townshend. On 10 Oct 1744, Townsend, MA, Amos Whitney, of Townshend, was appointed guardian of Sybell Whitney, daughter of Timothy Whitney, deceased, and posted bond with William Lawrence as surety.

She was also known as Sibil, Seabill, and Sybell Whitney.

i. Sibel Gilson, b. 18 Jan 1757; d. after 1826; m. 16 Nov 1776, Pepperell, MA, Levi Woods, son of Jonathan and Mary (-----) Woods.
