Sylvester7 Whitney (Elnathan6, Elnathan5, Elnathan4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Elnathan6 and Lydia (Stickney) Whitney, was born 29 Feb 1816,[1] Goffstown, NH, and died 15 Jan 1890, Chelsea, MA, aged 73 years 10 months 15 days, of pneumonia.[2]

He married, 21 Sep 1842, Lowell, MA, Ann M. Palmer "both of Lowell",[3] daughter of Horace and ----- (Hasford) Palmer. She was born 11 Feb 1821,[4] Thetford, VT, and died 24 Jun 1904, Chelsea, MA, aged 83 years 4 months 13 days, of chronic valvular endocarditis.[5] She was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA.

He was born in Goffstown, NH, and resided on the farm until eighteen years of age, when his health being poor he traveled, selling goods. At the age of twenty-one he moved to Lowell, MA, where he was a painter. He later moved to Boston, and finally to Chelsea, where he died. He resided Lowell, Boston and Chelsea, MA.
