Family:Whitney, Thomas (b1552-a1576)

Thomas Whitney a/k.a Thomas James was the son of James ap John or James Whitney, son of John Whitney and his wife Ann, daughter of John.

Could this John Whitney have been the son John of Robert Whitney, Esq., Lord Whitney mentioned in the Golden Grove book of pedigrees?

James Whitney died prior to 8 September 1576.

Thomas Whitney was probably born before 1552 as he must have been of age in 1576 when he together with his mother sold their land in Whitney Parish.

Thomas and his mother Ann held 30 acres of land and 1 acre of meadow called Halfilde or Halhyde in Whitney Parish which they sold in 1576.
