Family:Whitney, Thomas Annesley (1794-1876)

Thomas Annesley Whitney (Thomas, Luke, Thomas^C), son of Thomas and Alithea (Whitney)(Whitney) Whitney, was born 25 Oct 1794, and died 28 Apr 1876.

He married, 16 Mar 1825, Julia Gaven, daughter of Luke Gaven, Esq. She died 14 Aug 1863.

He was styled "of Merton." He was a Justice of the Peace.

Children of Thomas Annesley and Julia (Gaven) Whitney:

i.	Mary Elizabeth Whitney, b. say 1827; d. 14 Dec 1862; m. Col. Alexander William Gordon, jajor 61st Regiment, eldest son of Gen. Gordon, of the engineers.
ii.	Alice Julia Whitney, b. say 1830; d. 1897; m. 1848, Rev. Arthur Eden, eldest son of the Hon. and Rev. William Eden, by his wife, Lady Grey de Ruthyn.
iii.	Amelia Sarah Whitney, b. say 1833; d. 1893; m. 1859, Col. Henry Alexander Hewetson, Esq, only son of the late Dr. Heuetson, of co. Wexford.
