Timothy Holt6 Whitney (Richard5, Israel4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard5 and Hannah (Holt) Whitney, was born 10 Nov 1776, Wilton, NH, and "Major" died 16 Mar 1859, Athens, VT.

He married firstly, 11 Feb 1800, Wilton, NH, Abigail Blanchard, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Griffin) Blanchard. She was born 11 Jun 1777, Wilton, NH, and died 27 Apr 1843, Athens, VT.

He married secondly, Arathusa (Bartlett) Bruce, daughter of William and Azubah (Gleason) Bartlett. She was born 19 Mar 1794, Newfane, VT, and died after 1860. She had married firstly, 4 Jul 1826, Newfane, VT, Samuel Bruce.
