Willard Newton⁹ Whitney (Emory Stewart⁸, Nathaniel⁷, Nathaniel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Emory Stewart⁸ and Sarepta (Hale) Whitney, was born 3 Sep 1828, Marlboro, VT,^[1] and died 8 Nov 1878, Brattleboro, VT.

He married, 15 May 1855, Georgianna Mather, daughter of Cotton, Esq., and Betsey (Carpenter) Mather. She was born 27 Mar 1836, Marlboro, VT, and died after 1880.

He resided Brattleboro, VT.
