Family:Whitney, William (1795-1848)

William⁷ Whitney (Nathaniel Ruggles⁶, Simon⁵, Daniel⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Nathaniel Ruggles⁶ and Abigail (Frothingham) Whitney, was born 20 Oct 1795, Watertown, MA, and died 4 or 6 Jan 1848, aged 52 or 51 years, of paralysis.^[1]

Marriage intentions were published 26 Aug 1826, Cambridge, MA, for him and Elizabeth H. White, ^[2] daughter of Sewell and Betsey (Holden) White. She was born about 16 Sep 1805, Boston, MA, and died 12 Nov 1865, Newton, MA, aged 60 years 1 month 26 days, of dropsy.^[3]

iii.	Mary Elizabeth Whitney, b. 2 Mar 1837, Cambridge, MA;[8] d. 15 Apr 1849, Cambridge, MA, aged 12 years, of scarlet fever.[9]
