William Graves⁶ Whitney (Rufus⁵, [prob.] Joshua⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Rufus⁵ and Sarah (Graves) Whitney, born 16 Sep 1800, Granville, NY, and died 18 Feb 1859, Wiscoy, NY.

He married, 16 Feb 1820, Lydia Marchant. She was born 23 Apr 1803, and died Feb 1883.

He was a farmer. He resided Granville, Warsaw, and Wiscoy, NY.

i.	William Graves7 Whitney, b. 19 May 1837; m. Sylvia J. Baker.
ii.	Edwin M. Whitney, b. 19 Sep 1827; m. Laura A. Pride.
iii.	Allen F. Whitney, b. 28 Apr 1833; m. Calista C. Duryer.
iv.	Morris W. Whitney, b. 31 May 1844; d. 10 Jul 1848.
