William Henry⁷ Whitney (Daniel Harris⁶, Benjamin⁵, John⁴, Henry³, John², Henry¹), son of Daniel Harris⁶ and Louisa (Caswell) Whitney, was born 30 Mar 1829, Mexico, NY, and died after 1880.

He married, 4 Jul 1852, Central Square, in Hastings, NY, Emma Clayson, daughter of Henry B. and Ann (Clark) Clayson. She was born 1830, Bedfordshire, England, and died after 1880.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a boatman . . . . They dwelt, for one year, in Camden, N.Y.; and then settled at Cleveland, in Constantia, N.Y., where they were living in Ap. 1875."
