William Hildreth Whitney (William, William Hildreth, Aaron, [poss.] Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of William and Hattie Ruth (Nevers) Whitney, was born Dec 1878 (but 1879 per gravestone), Clark Island or Rockland, ME, and died 6 Jul 1928, Hanover, NH, aged 48 years, of general peritonitis.[1] He was buried in Ingraham Cemetery, Owls Head, ME.[2]

He married, 29 Jun 1904, Thomaston, ME, Mary Pauline Thompson, daughter of John and Elsie J. (Armstrong) Thompson.[3] She was born 9 Jan 1882 (but 1883 per gravestone), Boston, MA, and died 1969. She was buried in Ingraham Cemetery, Owls Head, ME.[4]

In 1905 he was a metal worker living at 60 Homes Av., Boston, MA. In 1905 he was living at 1309 Bird St., Boston, MA. In 1906 he was a metal ceiling maker living at 42 Magnolia St., Boston, MA. In 1907 he was an interior decorator living at 57 Armandine St., Boston, MA.

i. Edith Armstrong Whitney, b. 16 Jul 1905, Boston, MA;[5] d. 2 Sep 1905, Boston, MA, aged 1 month 15 days, of marasmus.[6]

iii. Raymond Theodore Whitney, b. 14 Nov 1907, Boston, MA.[8]
