William Lewis7 Whitney (Jeremiah6, Jeremiah5, Jeremiah4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), son of Jeremiah6 and Susan (Resseguie) Whitney, was born 29 Sep 1816, Penn Yan, NY, and died after 1880.
He married, 21 Dec 1842, Charleston, PA, Adeline Ives, daughter of Benajah and Sarah Ann (Gardner) Ives. She was born 17 Mar 1826, Tioga, PA, and died 15 Apr 1884. Some records call her Adeline Cook.
Phoenix says the following:
- . . . a farmer . . . . They settled at Middlebury, Penn., and were living there in Oct 1876."
