William Marcellus8 Whitney (Erastus7, Mason6, Micah5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Erastus7 and Betsy (Chadwick) Whitney, was born 18 Mar 1827, Philadelphia, NY, and died 25 Jul 1905. He is buried in Sandy Hollow Cemetery, Philadelphia, NY.

He married, 25 Mar 1884, Ida Drought, daughter of Arthur C. and Mary Eliza (Whipple) Drought. She was born 1860, NY, and died 1954. She is buried in Evans Mills Old Cemetery, Le Ray, NY.
