Am tracing my wife's lineage and it is far more interesting than mine. My ancestors were post-Civil War Ohioans and before that Welsh miners, Yorkshire wool handlers and Finnish farmers. (I've had it the best - lived in Miami for 50+ yrs.) My wife is a Williams...one of the many Williams lines in colonial America the hit the proverbial brickwall in the mid 1600s. But, the intermarriage of Williams and Chadbournes, Days, Fords, Haydens, Lanes, Munsons, Nortons, Prides, Seeleys, Stevens, Watsons, Whitcombs and Whitmores and, of course, Whitneys (and so forth)is fascinating. Here are the connections that look good so far:
The second line connecting the Whitneys and Williams
There is probably another connection, at least, with Sarah Ford as the Fords married with Williams in the 1800s. We have not gotten that far yet. I would most like help in documenting the family tree. Am new to the sire so any help in getting images of source docs would be great. Haven't figured out how every works her yet, so, in case this isn't connected otherwise, my e-maill address is bdani80877@aol.com. |
