My grandmother, Ida Lake Whitney Fox, married George Whitney on June 8, 1876. He died March 14, 1877. They had one child, Georgia Mayhew Whitney. Ida later married Charles Kilburn Fox on October 19, 1886. They had one child, Marjorie Whitney Fox, who was my mother. My middle name is Whitney. I am thus interested in any information about this line. I am also interested in knowing more about one Samuel Whitney who came with the first group of missionaries from New England to Hawaii in 1820. I would be very happy to hear if anyone has informaton on these branches.
