William7 Whitney (Jeremiah6, Hezekiah5, Hezekiah4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of Jeremiah6 and Elizabeth (Underhill) Whitney, was born 30 Dec 1802, New Paltz, NY, and died after 1880.
He married 12 Dec 1838, Knowlesville, in Ridgeway, NY, Almira Ann Gates, Eli and Sally (Bull) Gates. She was born 26 Aug 1815, Riga, NY, and died after 1880.
A farmer. He lived in Barre, NY, from 1840 to 1843, and then settled on the homestead of his father, about one mile south of Millville in Shelby, NY, where he was living in 1874.
