John⁷ Whitney (Palmer⁶, Joseph⁵, Timothy⁴, John³, John², John¹), son of Palmer⁶ and Judith (Barber) Whitney, was born 18 Aug 1804, Orange, MA, and died 21 Nov 1854, Campton, IL.

He married firstly, 7 Dec 1826, Wyoming, NY, Rachel Ward. She died 1837.

He married secondly, 7 Feb 1839, Mariah Blood. She was born 28 Jun 1812, Tompkins County, NY, and died after 1880.

He was a farmer. He resided Wyoming, NY, and Campton, Kane County, IL.
