George Henry9 Whitney (Samuel8, Joseph7, Daniel6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Samuel8 and Mary Jane (Carpenter) Whitney, was born 30 May 1852, Fitzwilliam, NH, and died 1 Apr 1886, Boston, MA, aged 33 years 11 months, of erysipelas of face and peritonitis.[1]

He married, 6 Oct 1885, Elizabeth W. Brown, daughter of James and Almira (Libby) Brown. She was born about Jun 1856, Dorchester, MA, and died 4 Apr 1886, Boston, MA, aged 29 years 10 months, of lacerated peninaeum and pueral septicaemia.[2]
