He married 10 19 1883, Bangor, ME, Elizabeth E. "Nellie" Gilpatrick. She was born abt 1859, Clifton, ME, and died 02 06 1926, Chelsea, MA.
Charles was not born into this family. He was informally adopted into the family when he was orphaned. He resumed his birth name after his service in the Civil War, in which he served as Charles E.
