Joseph⁶ Whitney (Phinehas⁵, Sylvanus⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Phinehas⁵ and Susanna (Swoller) Whitney, was born 21 Jul 1783, Dunstable, MA,^[1] and died after 1850, probably before 1855.

He "Dea." "of Dunstable, N.H." married, 26 Dec 1825, Dunstable, MA, Indiana Fletcher,^[2] daughter of Phineas and Anna (Burge) Fletcher. She was born 13 Dec 1796, Dunstable, MA, and died Nov 1879, Dunstable, MA, aged 82 years of a femur fracture.^[3]

Children of Joseph⁶ and Indiana (Fletcher) Whitney, if any, unknown. None appear in the census records.
