"Rev." Samuel Worcester7 Whitney (Samuel6, John5, John4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Samuel6 and Mercy (Partridge) Whitney, was born 18 Mar 1822, Waimea, Kauai, Sandwich Islands, and died 13 Jul 1905, Philadelphia, PA.

He married firstly, 9 Jun 1853, Westport, NY, Catharine Eudocia Kent. She was born about 1830, and died before 1858.

He married secondly, 21 Dec 1858, New Bedford, MA, Harriet Ellen Hatch, daughter of Charles and Abby (-----) Hatch.[1] She was born 29 Dec 1832, New Bedford, MA, and apparently died between 1880 and 1900.
