Clark F. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1807, VT, and died 5 Oct 1862, Albion, NY. He was buried in Albion Cemetery, Albion, NY.[1]

Intentions of marriage were published, 31 Jan 1830, Attleborough, MA, for him and Emeline Bates,[2] daughter of John and Polly (-----) Bates. She was born 8 Feb 1808, Norton, MA,[3] and died 13 Nov 1888, Providence, RI, aged 79 years.[4] Possibly she was the Emiline Bates, daughter of James and Hannah (Walker) Bates, born 16 Aug 1812, Pembroke, MA (since she named her oldest son James).
