Elias⁷ Whitney (Jacob⁶, Richard⁵, Richard⁴, Richard³, Richard², John¹), son of Jacob⁶ and Mary (Patch) Whitney, was born 16 Jun 1797, Winchendon, MA,^[1] and died 1 Jun 1875, Stoddard, NH.

Marriage intentions were published 16 Jan 1822, Winchendon, MA, for him and Fanny Demery "of Rindge".^[2] He married 18 Feb 1822, Rindge, NH, Fannie Demary.^[3] She was born 23 Oct 1796, and died 5 Sep 1875.

He was born in Winchendon, MA, and inherited his father's estate. He resided on the old homestead until about 1855, when he moved to Stoddard, NH, where he followed his profession, that of surveying and farming. He resided Winchendon, MA, and Stoddard, NH.
