Dea. Isaac6 Whitney (Abraham5, Abraham4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Abraham5 and Marcy (Perry) Whitney, was born 1 Feb 1749, Stow, MA, and died 29 Apr 1815.
He married, 12 May 1774, Lucy Mead, of Boxboro.
He resided Stow and Harvard, Massachusetts.
Children of Isaac6 and Lucy (Mead) Whitney:
i. Isaac7 Whitney, b. Apr 1775; m. Mary Hill and Hannah Haskell. ii. Polly or Mary Whitney, b. 13 Dec 1779; m. Cyrus6 Whitney, s. of Isaiah. (See.) iii. Moses Whitney, b. 14 Feb 1782; m. Lucy Gates. iv. Susan Whitney, b. 26 Mar 1785; m. 16 Apr 1807, Phineas Conant, of Stow. He was b. 1783, Stow, MA, and resided there until 1827, when he moved to Maine, and in 1836 to Constantia, NY, where he d. 18 Jul 1842. He was selectman and postmaster for years. - Ch.: Daniel Gates, b. 17 Jan 1808; d. young; Jonathan Newell, b. 13 Aug 1810; m. Sarah Jewell; resided West Vienna, NY; prominent citizen; been postmaster and justice of the peace for 22 years; Charles, b. 5 Jul 1812; Andrew, b. 18 May 1814; m. Ann B. Jewell; resided Rock Island, IL.
v. Asa Willard Whitney, b. 24 Apr 1787; m. Abigail Whitcomb. vi. Clarissa Whitney, b. 28 Oct 1795; d. in childhood.
