Ebenezer R.6 Whitney (George5, Jason4, Mark3, Benjamin2, John1), son of George5 and Esther (Morse) Whitney, was born 20 Dec 1820, Natick, MA, and died 2 May 1892, Natick, MA.

He married, 21 Mar 1842, Sarah F. Leighton, of Westford, daughter of Francis and Mary (Read) Leighton. She was born 25 Feb 1824, Danvers, MA, and died 26 Apr 1904, Natick, MA, aged 85 years 2 months, of cerebral hemorrhage [sic: actually 80 years 2 months 1 day--RLW].[1]

He was a cordwainer, shoe manufacturer and merchant. He resided Danvers and Natick, MA.
