David6 Whitney (Joshua5, Joshua4, Joshua3, David2, Samuel1), was born between 1780 and 1790, Southampton Co., VA, and died 1838, Southampton Co., VA.
He married, 21 Dec 1811, Southampton Co., VA, Nancy Joyner. She was the daughter of William Joyner and Mary Whitney.
Nancy Whitney asked for letters of dismission from Black Creek Bapt. Church for herself and three daughters, Mary L., Catherine Presson and Louisa in 1853.
Children of David6 and Nancy (Joyner) Whitney:
i. Elizabeth7 Whitney, d. Apr 1841 per Black Creek Bapt Church records. ii. Mary L. Whitney, d. 11 Nov 1896 (unmarried), per Southampton Co., VA death records. iii. Catherine Whitney, m. 22 Jan 1840, Joel Presson. iv. William Whitney. v. Louisa M. Whitney, unmarried in 1860, Southampton Co., VA census and was listed as a seamstress.
