Samuel5 Whitney (Thomas4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Thomas4 and Mary (Baker) Whitney[1] was born 22 Jul 1714, Stow, MA,[2] and died before 31 Oct 1748, Stow, MA.[3]

Samuel married before 10 Dec 1742, Grace -----.[4] She was born say 1717, and died 6 Jun 1763.[5]

On 15 Nov 1755, Lancaster, MA, marriage intentions for her "of Harvard" and Josiah Houghton "of Lancaster" were published.[6] On 22 Nov 1755, Harvard, MA, marriage intentions for her and Josiah Houghton "of Lancaster" were published.[7] She married 6 Jan 1756, Lancaster, MA, Josiah Houghton.[8] No marriage record is found in Stow, but her husband was born there and child Samuel was born there.
