Whitmore Shepard (Benjamin, Eleanor3 Whitney, Joshua2, John1), son of Benjamin and Martha (Whitmore) Shepard, was born 12 Aug 1761, Canterbury, CT, and died circa 1830.
He married, Clarissa Cleveland, 10 Mar 1784, Brooklyn, CT, daughter of Silas and Elizabeth (Hyde) Cleveland. She was born 14 Jun 1765, Canterbury, CT, and died in 1853, Pomfret, CT.
Children of Whitmore and Clarissa (Cleveland) Shepard:
i. David Shepard, b. 17 Jan 1785, Canterbury, CT; d. 2 Aug 1788, Canterbury, CT, at age 3. ii. Clarissa Shepard, b. 23 Nov 1787, Brooklyn, CT; m. 2 Jan 1818, Coventry, CT, Stephen Morey. iii.
