Warren Lincoln Whitney (John, Amos, Amos, Nathaniel, Benjamin, John), was born 03 26 1823, Newburgh, ME, and died 12 20 1890, Newport, ME.
He married 11 11 1861, Augusta, ME, Rachel Wilson Thompson of Bangor, ME, daughter of Joel and Ruth (Dwinal) Thompson. She was born 03 21 1835, and died 04 20 1889, Bangor, ME.
The Hallowell Gazette reported that Capt. Warren L. Whitney of Co. A, 1st Maine Cavalry and Rachie W. Thompson, both of Bangor, were married at the cavalry encampment on 11 October 1861.
Warren m. secondly the widow Vesta May (----) Reed on 1 October 1890 in Carmel, ME.
Warren was a Civil War Veteran, and received a pension for the U.S. government.
