Nathan5 Whitney (Nathan4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Nathan4 and Mary (Holman) Whitney,[1] was born 6 Mar 1723/4, Stow, MA,[2] and died 28 Oct 1801, Conway, MA,, aged 77 years, of cancer.[3]

Nathan "of Stow" married, 22 Jan 1752, Holden, MA, Tabitha Bennett "of Holden",[4] daughter of Samuel and Tabitha (Wheeler) Bennett.[5] She was born 27 Oct 1724, Lancaster, MA,[6] and died on 12 May 1804, Conway, MA, "an aged woman."[7]

On 17 May 1763, Stow, MA, he wrote a letter to the probate judge about the estate of his father, over which he and his mother had had a falling out.

Pierce says the following:[8]

He was a farmer; resided in Stow. May 18, 1777, they moved to Conway, Mass., and united with the Cong. church there and ever after resided in that town.

v. Ira Whitney, b. circa 1761; m.(1) Jane Bird; m.(2) Rebekah Hartwell.
vi. Abijah Whitney, b. 8 May 1768, Harvard, MA; m. Jane Murphy.
