Family:Whitney, Lyman (1808-1880)

Lyman⁸ Whitney (James⁷, John⁶, James⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², John¹), born Sherborn, Massachusetts, 1 Jun 1808, married Mary Leland, born 13 Nov 1815; died 13 Nov 1855; married 2d Parmelia O. Lenter. He was selectman 1852-53-54; was a farmer. He died Aug. 1, 1880; resided Sherborn, Massachusetts.

Children of Lyman⁸ Whitney:

i.	Anne Maria Whitney, born 1841; married ----- Hooker; resided South Framingham, Massachusetts.
ii.	Mary E. Whitney, born 1843; married George H. Young. She died 20 Jan 1877. Ch.: Edwin C., born 18 Jul 1866; married 23 Oct 1890, No. 290 Quincy ST., Boston, Massachusetts; Carrie A., born 12 Apr 1869, No. 25 Catawba ST., Roxbury, Massachusetts; Arthur W., born Nov., 1871; George H., born Nov, 1873, No. 18 Richards Av., Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Mary E. (youngest and died aged about 3 years).
iii.	Daniel L. Whitney, born 1845; married and resided South Framingham.
iv.	George L. Whitney, born 21 Aug 1848; married Martha A. Fleming.
