Nathan5 Whitney (Nathan4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Nathan4 and Mary (Holman) Whitney[1] was born 6 Mar 1723/24, Stow, MA,[2] and died 28 Oct 1801, Conway, MA,, aged 77 years, of cancer.[3]

Nathan "of Stow" married, 22 Jan 1752, Holden, MA, Tabitha Bennett "of Holden",[4] daughter of Samuel and Tabitha (Wheeler) Bennett.[5] She was born 27 Oct 1724, Lancaster, MA,[6] and died on 12 May 1804, Conway, MA, "an aged woman."[7]

On 17 May 1763 at Stow, MA, he wrote a letter to the probate judge about the estate of his father, over which he and his mother had had a falling out.

Children of Nathan5 and Tabitha (Benett) Whitney:

i. Aaron6 Whitney, b. 31 Jul 1752 at Stow, MA; m. an unknown person.
ii. Persis Whitney, b. 22 Aug 1754 at Stow, MA; d. 2 Oct 1754 at Stow, MA.
iii. Miriam Whitney, b. 25 Aug 1755 at Stow, MA.
iv. Asaph Whitney, b. 29 Apr 1759 at Stow, MA.
He and Asa Whitney may be the same person.
v. Ira Whitney, b. circa 1761; Marriage banns for he and Jane Bird were published 23 Nov 1789 at Conway, MA; husband "of Conway", wife "of Williamsburg;" Marriage banns for he and Rebekah Hartwell were published 22 Jun 1798 at Conway, MA; both "of Conway;" d. 6 Mar 1839; in either NY or PA.
He birth, death, and so on from Li Ann Harper Lee <[email protected]>.
vi. Abijah Whitney, b. 8 May 1768 at Harvard, MA; m. Jane Murphy 28 Oct 1788 at Conway, MA; both "of Conway."
