Christopher Atwood⁶ Whitney (Jacob⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Jacob⁵ and Hannah (Mills) Whitney, was born 3 Apr 1793, Phillips, ME, and died 23 Aug 1869, Tomah, WI.

He married, 1 Jun 1823, Phillips, ME, Adeline Howard. She was born 1803, and died 1883, near Black River Falls, WI.

He was in the war of 1812; resided Phillips until 1866, then moved to Greenfield. He resided Phillips, ME, and Greenfield, WI.

vii.	Naoma S. Whitney, b. 10 Mar 1840, Phillips, ME, Pierce lists her as "Naomi Whitney", married George Prescott; son Albert resided Tomah, WI.
viii.	Atwood Whitney, b. 4 Dec 1843, Phillips, ME.
ix.	Luzetta Whitney, b. 16 May 1846, Phillips, ME. Pierce lists her as "Lucette Whitney".
