Remington Hobby Whitney, probably son of Stephen6 and Ruth (Boody) Whitney, was born 26 Dec 1801, Portland, ME, and died 29 Jun 1890, Burr Oak, Saint Joseph Co., MI.

He married, firstly, about 1830, Eliza Weaver, daughter of Daniel Wing and Amy (Underhill) Weaver. She died 28 Apr 1834, probably near Avon, Livingston Co., NY.
