John Richard⁷ Whitney (Francis Rowland⁶, Elias⁵, Jeremiah⁴, Nathan³, John², Henry¹), son of Francis Rowland⁶ and Mary Ann (Robinson) Whitney, was born 25 Oct 1848, Poughkeepsie, NY, died 19 Mar 1935, Castleton, VT, of general arteriosclerosis.^[1]

He married, 30 Dec 1879, Castleton, VT, Jane Phoebe Parsons, both of Castleton, VT, daughter of Franklin and Chloe (Jordan) Parsons.^[2] She was born 16 Mar 1861, Castleton, VT, and died 12 Jan 1944, Castleton, VT.

John Richard⁷ and Jane Phoebe (Parsons) Whitney had no children.
