Sewell⁷ Whitney (Jonathan⁶, (prob.) Jonathan⁵, Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Jonathan⁶, Jr., and Deborah (Higgins) Whitney, was born 10 Jul 1806, Lisbon or Garland, ME,^[1] and died 7 Jul 1857, ME. Both he and his wife are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Corinth, ME.

He married Lucinda "Lucy" Craig, daughter of Samuel and Esther (-----) Craig. She was born 16 Nov 1802, Kenduskeag or Hudson, ME, and died 7 Jul 1890. She married secondly, 14 Oct 1860, Corinth, ME, Joseph Johnson, "both of Corinth".^[2]
