Elliot8 Whitney (Eleazer7, Eleazer6, Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Eleazer and Fanny N. (Hook) Whitney, was born 4 Jun 1830, Halifax, VT,[1] and died 20 Oct 1910, Cummington, MA, aged 84 years 4 months 10 days, of chronic nephritis.[2] He was buried in Cummington Village Cemetery, Cummington, MA.

He "of Ashfield" married, 12 Jun 1855, Savoy, MA, Lydia Mary Warner "of Buckland",[3], daughter of Asahel and Elizabeth (Sherman) Warner. She was born about 5 Apr 1836, Savoy, MA, and died 13 Dec 1908, Conway, MA, aged 72 years 8 months 8 days, of apoplexy.[4]

i. Fanny J.9 Whitney, b. 13 Jul 1856, Buckland, MA;[5] "Fannie E." d. 11 Jul 1858, Buckland, MA, aged 2 years 28 days, of fits.[6]
ii. Minnie May Whitney, b. ca. 1864, Bernardston, MA; m. 24 Feb 1886, Conway, MA (also recorded at Cummington, MA), Charles A. Wells, both of Cummington, b. ca. 1856, Williamsburg, son of Alexiys and Lydia (-----) Wells.[7]
