William Henry8 Whitney (James B.7, Israel6, Daniel5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of James B.7 and Anne (Wilkins) Whitney, was born 31 May 1846, Marlborough, MA,[1] and died after 1900.

He married firstly, 12 Aug 1869, Hudson, MA, Mary Ellen Farnsworth, daughter of Luther Haskell and Almira P. (Rideout) Farnsworth.[2] She was born about 1853, Nashua, NH, and died 8 Oct 1890, Nashua, NH, aged 38 years, of cancer.[3]
