Hon. Richard H.7 Whitney, (Cyrus6, Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), born Harvard, Massachusetts, 2 Nov 1808; married 22 Feb 1836, Nancy Flagg Whitney; died 6 Sep 1852; married second 22 Mar 1854, Dorcas Fisk. Richard M. Whitney son of Cyrus Whitney of Harvard, Massachusetts, was born at Harvard, Massachusetts, 1808 and died at Adrian, Michigan, 11 Jul 1867. He was a self made man and successful in life as to accumulating property and making and holding funds. He left an estate of $125,000 which was divided 1/3 to his second wife Dorcas Fisk Whitney and the remaining 2/3 divided among his six children. He was mayor of Adrian in 1857 and held the office of justice of the peace many years, and died at the age of 57, honored and respected by all who knew him. He died 11 Jul 1867; resided Albany, New York, and Adrian, Michigan.

L Samuel Harris born 26 Oct 1862; died 10 Nov 1863; William A., born Feb 13, 1864; resided Leonminster, Massachusetts; Hattie L., born 6 Dec 1865; resided W.; Mable L., born Apr. 23, 1868; resided Nashua, New Hampshire, 31 Granite St.; Augustus W., born Mar. 26, 1873.
ii. Edward L. Whitney, born 7 Sep 1840; married Eliza J. Curry.
iii. Channing Whitney, born 28 Dec 1842; married Nellie M. Cornell.
iv. Charles C. Whitney, born 4 Jul 1844; married Emma Lapham.
v. Aaron Augustus Whitney, born 7 Feb 1850; married Clintina S. Curtis.
vi. Richard Harris Whitney, born 22 Sep 1856; unm.; resided Adrian, Michigan. He has since 10 years of age been afflicted with epilepsy and unfitted for active business life although at times bright and smart and active.
vii. Henry Hart Whitney, born 18 Jan 1858; died 22 Sep 1860.
