Dr. Amos6 Whitney (Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), born Harvard, Massachusetts, 1768; married 9 Jun 1793, Rhoda Cutter; born 20 Aug 1770; dau. of Nathan. She married 2d Jasper Temple. She was of Rindge, New Hampshire. They moved to Henniker in 1795, and resided in the southeast part. He was a skillful physician and much respected. He died 28 Feb 1802; resided Henniker, New Hampshire.

Children of Amos6 Whitney:

i. Horace7 Whitney, b, 18 Sep 1793; was soldier in was 1812; died Concord
ii. Sophronia Whitney, born 10 Jan 1795; married 18 Apr 1813, Hon. Jacob Gibson; born 24 Oct 1784. He died Greenbush, Wisconsin, Dec., 1869.
Ch.: Dr. A. C., born 1823; resided Greenbush; Randolph, born 1819; died Manchester; John S., born 1830; resided Missouri; Sophalia, married R. P. Eaton; resided Green Bay, Wisconsin: Sophronia, married Randall Hoyt.
iii. Dolly Whitney, born 14 Jun 1796; married Mr. Moore, of Hillsboro.
iv. Calista Whitney, born 3 Feb 1798; married Wm. K. Howe; born 30 Sep 1791. Was selectman several years in Henniker. His wife died May 19, 1828. He was married three times. 2 ch., Roxana C. (adopted), born 19 Jun 1820.
v. Cynthia Whitney, born 19 Jan 1800; died 7 Apr 1816.
