Family:Whitney, Abijah (1781-1856)

Abijah⁶ Whitney (Benjamin⁵, Joseph⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), born Pepperell, Massachusetts, 22 Aug 1781; married 28 May 1818, Lydia Tarbell; born 17 Aug 1792; died Nov. 12, 1864. He was a carpenter. He died 30 Mar 1856; resided Pepperell, Massachusetts.

Children of Abijah⁶ Whitney:

i.	Eliza7 Whitney, born 5 Jan 1820; married 28 Nov 1843, Simon Durant. She died Wells River, Vermont, 12 Dec 1860.
ii.	Henrietta Whitney, born 10 Feb 1823; married 3 Jun 1847, Sumner Graves. She died Groton, Massachusetts, 10 Apr 1858.
iii.	Mary Ann Whitney, born 30 May 1833; married 16 Apr 1856, Phinehas P. Fletcher. She died Marlboro, Vermont, 24 Mar 1883.
iv.	Joseph Whitney, born 25 Jun 1827; married Mary P. Baker.
